Troop 13 has, over the years, gone on a lot of trips to a lot of places. The biggest problem facing us, and likely any troop, is "institutional memory," being able to keep track fo when we've gone someplace and arguably more important, what we can do while there. Scouting is "fun with a purpose" so know what activities are available in the area is critical to the "purpose" part.
So the "purpose" of this handbook is not to log our trips, but rather to keep an inventory of things that can be easily done at each location. It's a sparse handbook right now, but every book starts with the first page. This is ours.
Here are some we've not yet indexed with more information:

Public holiday
Remarks:
Description: We have been invited again to participate in the POW/MIA flag replacement ceremony at the flag pole on 81st Street and Shore Road. The ceremony starts at 10 AM, but plan to arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM for attendance and orientation. At least one scout will likely have an active role to read a short piece as part of the ceremony.
CLASS A UNIFORM REQUIRED. Wear you neckerchief, too, it's part of the Class A.
Remarks: Location/Assembly point is approximate
Description: This is immediately after the flag ceremony at 81st/Shore Road. After that ceremony, we will walk as a group to the assembly point at 3rd Avenue and 77th Street. The assembly point might get moved.
If you are unable to participate in the flag ceremony, arrive at the above address *before* 10:45 AM and plan on searching for us. You should have no problem finding where the scouts are, but if you don't see us, just walk up and down the block until you find us (or until we arrive).
